Southern Sweet Potato Pie

1 and 3/4 cups of sweet potato ( cooked, mashed and stained )
3/4 tsp. salt
1 and 1/2 cups of milk

2 large eggs
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp. of cinnamon
1/2 tsp. of nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tbsp. melted butter
 

Beat all ingredients together in a bowl
Pour into pastry shell
Bake at 425 degrees for 45-55 minutes
Center will look soft, but it will set when the pie cools.

Garnish with whip cream.
